Chad Taylor is the author of PACK OF LIES, HEAVEN, SHIRKER, ELECTRIC, DEPARTURE LOUNGE and THE CHURCH OF JOHN COLTRANE and the short story collection THE MAN WHO WASN'T FEELING HIMSELF. His novels have been translated into French, German and Italian. HEAVEN was produced as a feature film by Miramax.
Born in New Zealand, he has lived in London, Paris, Ibiza and Berlin. He was awarded the Auckland University Literary Fellowship in 2003 and the Buddle Findlay Sargeson Trust Fellowship in 2001. He has appeared at the Auckland, Sydney, Hong Kong and Shanghai Literary Festivals, Les Belles Etrangeres and the Frankfurt Book Fair. In 2003 he was listed as one of New Zealand's Top Ten Novelists Under Forty by The Listener. His original screenplay Realiti was produced as a feature film in 2013. The movie has been selected to premiere at the New Zealand International Film Festival in 2014.
